Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the SportsConnector mobile application, the sportsconnector.com website, and related services (together, the "Service") operated by Sportao Inc. ("Sportao", "we", "us").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who May Use the Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for your account and everything that happens under it. Keep your device and sign-in codes secure, never share a verification code with anyone, provide accurate information, and notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. You may not impersonate others or create accounts for anyone but yourself.

SMS verification. You sign in with your mobile phone number. When you request a sign-in code, we send a one-time verification code to that number by SMS, and entering it in the app confirms that you control the number. We send one message per sign-in request and do not use SMS for marketing. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving text messages (you will not be able to sign in until you reply START) or HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy and SMS Verification page for details.

3. The Service

SportsConnector helps people find partners and coordinate recreational sports activities, such as tennis and pickleball matches, and communicate with each other. We provide the platform only: we do not organize, supervise, or participate in the activities that users arrange, and we do not vet or endorse any user.

4. Assumption of Risk

Sports involve inherent risks, including the risk of injury. Meeting people you first encountered online also involves risks. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users and for deciding whether, where, and with whom to play. Use good judgment, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree that Sportao is not responsible for the conduct of any user or for anything that happens during activities arranged through the Service.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you create and share through the Service, such as messages and photos ("User Content"). By sharing User Content, you grant Sportao a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, and display it as needed to operate and improve the Service. You are responsible for your User Content and must have the rights necessary to share it.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, defame, or harm other users, or post hateful, obscene, or otherwise objectionable content.
• Use the Service for spam, advertising, or other unsolicited commercial activity.
• Break the law, or encourage or help others to do so.
• Access or attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorization.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, probe or scan its infrastructure, or bypass security or rate limits.
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Service, or use automated means to access it without our written permission.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except where permitted by law.

7. AI Assistant

The Service includes an AI assistant that can help you plan and coordinate activities. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate or incomplete, are provided for convenience only, and do not constitute professional advice of any kind. Use your own judgment before relying on them.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, software, logos, and content (other than User Content), belongs to Sportao and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service may contain links to or rely on third-party services. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the Service or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 4, 5, and 11-13) will survive.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sportao and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose or fifty US dollars (US $50).

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sportao from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by other reasonable means before they take effect. By continuing to use the Service after the changes take effect, you agree to the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts located in Delaware, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
